Chadō (“Tea Ceremony”) is one of the most honoured traditional cultural activity of Japan. Imported from Tang Dynasty and after centuries of perfection, Japanese Tea Ceremony is a unique form of meditation and cultural practice with emphasis of balance and tranquility. After the passing of founding teacher Sen no Rikyū, Chadō descended to three schools, “Omote-Senke”, “Mushakō-Senke” and the most-followed and well-spread “Ura-Senke”.
Florence Leung, our “Ura-Senke” tutor will lead us experience the spirit and culture of Japanese Chadō ,as well as to participate in the tea ceremony with the usage of different utensils. The above course is for beginners.
