This summer season, Feel Your Heart Beat in celebrating the fifth anniversary of Tai Kwun with a constellation of stirring exhibitions and affecting experiences, sure to surface deep emotions and inspire conversations that bring together communities. Invigorate yourself with the power of creativity and immerse in an array of artistic and cultural delights, all taking place in Tai Kwun, one of Hong Kong’s most important heritage sites.

The upcoming season brings forth HOPE, an inspired and often perplexing exhibition featuring hyperrealistic and surreal sculptural, paintings, and moving images created by the Australian artist, Patricia Piccinini. Building on the buzz and heat of a Hong Kong summer, Vital Signs will transform Tai Kwun with restored, rescued, and conserved original neon signs. To keep the heart of Hong Kong’s neon industry beating, we are inviting local artisans to conceive of their very own neon sculptures. Send in your design, and it could be chosen to illuminate Tai Kwun Lane.

Tai Kwun’s annual community arts project Remember The Time We Sing returns to the site, providing a platform for young families and emerging songwriters to deepen their understanding of dementia through the medium of music. The last talk of Tai Kwun Conversations: IN OUR HANDS Series–Building a Nature-Positive Hong Kong concludes with offering Nature-based Solutions that protect, sustainably manage, and restore natural and modified ecosystems while addressing societal challenges.
