Budding with optimism and serendipity, the seasonal showcase expands across multiple genres to mark the city’s triumphant return.
Tai Kwun’s “SPOTLIGHT: A Season of Performing Arts”, bringing with it seven multi-disciplinary programmes that showcase the creative imagination and vision of local Hong Kong and the Mainland artists. True to the season, the Tai Kwun In Bloom 2023 flower market returns to the Parade Ground to offer enchanting horticultural inspirations. With a new season on the horizon comes HOPE, an exhibition of the sculptural, photographic and filmic works by the Australian artist Patricia Piccinini.
BOOKED: HONG KONG ART BOOK FAIR returns for its fifth edition, providing a platform for creative practitioners and publishers to share their work with diverse audiences, while TAI KWUN CONVERSATIONS: “IN OUR HANDS” SERIES spans from March until June to present three respective programmes about caring for people, and cultural and natural heritage in times of global crises. Finally, the on-going programme, MYTH MAKERS— SPECTROSYNTHESIS III Myth Makers—Spectrosynthesis III finishes its mythological journey of the body, offering historical and contemporary LGBTQ+ perspectives in the region and beyond.
