Going to the movies has long been a common leisure activity in Hong Kong—especially during festive seasons—and what is not to be missed is the wide range of food that one can snack on during movies.
To recreate this culture, the Tai Kwun Heritage and Performing Arts departments co-present Now Showing, a series of free thematic movie screenings. Participants can also enjoy snacks during the screenings by purchasing a Goodie Bag.
Sharing a series of classic “Lunar New Year Blockbusters” is a perfect event for family entertainment and the festive season. Being part of the Central community, Tai Kwun would like to take this opportunity to be a hub for community gatherings. Now Showing aspires to be a get-together activity for our neighbours in the Central district and Hongkongers.
