Expanding on last year’s fun and laughter, the Circus Playground brings more exciting and interactive circus experiences to our outdoor piazzas. Using props such as a trunk, tapes, colourful sticks and a unicycle, the four circus acts will display their skills with the assistance of the audience. Spanish physical theatre artist Joan Catala will challenge volunteers from the audience to assist him in performing a series of gravity-defying stunts with the help of a trunk. Also from Spain, Emiliano will use tapes to create improvised comedic scenarios that will transport the audience to new imaginary worlds. Meanwhile, participants will work with Italian group Stalker Teatro to build a massive tunnel of colourful wooden sticks that will turn Tai Kwun into a Christmas playground in time for the holidays. Last but not least, charming Canadian juggler Michael Bonnici will perform amazing juggling tricks while perched on his 10-feet high chainsaw unicycle. Let’s bring your entire family, your better half and your best mates to partake in Tai Kwun Circus Plays!
