This session of Art After Hours invites Dr. Ian Fong Ho-yin to share his views on the exhibition “Kongkee: Warring States Cyberpunk”. Dr Fong noticed how several elements in the exhibition drew the audience’s attention to the significance of “three” as a number. When “three” symbolises completeness and stability, the exhibition invites us to ponder how trinity could possibly be completed by wandering in time and space. Dr Fong will also share with the audience how he thinks Kongkee’s artworks help to read time from a nomadological perspective, and how the exhibits help to re-interpret the significance of the number “three” in philosophy, religion, art, literature, film, and beyond.
The conversation will be conducted in Cantonese with English simultaneous interpretation.
