Join “100 Faces Workshops” taught by Flyingpig to learn how to draw comics.
WONG Wing-shan, known professionally as Flyingpig, is a Hong Kong illustrator born in 1990.
Being a full-time illustrator, Flyingpig loves sketching around the city, showing her enthusiasm through creating delightful illustrations about the cityscapes and the community.
Her first book, "The Scenery of Old Shops", was published in 2016. Illustrated with a fresh, heartwarming style, the book features legendary shops in old neighbourhood and the life philosophy of their shopkeepers.
Apart from collaborations with Tai Kwun, Hong Kong Art Centre, and M+ of West Kowloon Cultural District, she has also been commissioned by a wide range of clients, including Standard Chartered Bank, Porsche, Staedtler, Origins, and Hong Kong Tourism Board.
In 2016, Wong organised a solo exhibition at the Eslite Bookstore. A year after, she held an exhibition at local artspace Green Wave Art, showcasing her illustration works on characters in the old neighbourhood of Yau Ma Tei. Since 2017, she has been a participant of Art and Culture Outreach’s "Artist-in-Residence" programme, operating a studio in Wan Chai’s Foo Tak Building. In 2018, she participated the "100 Faces of Tai Kwun" exhibition held at Tai Kwun in Central and published her second book "Once Upon a Time in Tai Kwun".
