General

Like a little bird flying free, Merry Night Ride is a tender city nocturne with Merry Lamb Lamb. As a beloved Hong Kong musician inspired by the electronic music of video games and textual sound effects of comic books, this musical performance will bring you into the realness of night and the beautiful serenity of dreams. This is the dusk before the launch of her next chapter, an album titled ‘Genesis’. The aural qualities of art publishing through sound touch our cheeks like dewdrops on a night ride.

This event will be conducted in Cantonese and English.

Live events take place on Friday evenings and include presentations by those working in sound publishing, performative readings, and low-fi zine production.

"Merry" was a name gifted to Merry Lamb Lamb by her mother when she was born, in the hopes that she would be able to live her life doing all of her favourite things. "Lamb Lamb" was a nickname given to her by secondary school friends, derived from the sweet sound that lambs make. Ever since she was young, she enjoyed playing video games and reading comics, which sparked her love for the sounds that made up her own universes. Merry Lamb Lamb hopes that she can spread happiness to everyone through electronic music. She believes that a happy life is not merely about finding a way to live on, but is instead fueled by the miracle of creativity.
