“Dress Up as Kwan Kung” – Costume and Prop Making Workshop

A chance to dress up as the valiant general Kwan Kung! In this workshop, each participating group consists of one parent and one child, who will work together to make Kwan Kung’s headwear, beard and halberd. Participants will get to know more about the revered general’s image, personality and spirit. After creating the costume and props, you can dress up as Kwan Kung and visit the “Salute to Kwan Kung” exhibition for some photogenic moments.

Various kinds of public relations crises are called “Kwan Kung Disasters” (a wordplay that inverts kung kwan, which means public relations in Cantonese). Public relations specialist Mr Tsang Sing Ming has handled a gamut of crises during his service at Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). In this talk, he will share his experiences on how he handled them by applying the spirit of Kwan Kung. He will be joined by Ms Vivian Hung Wai Man, who worked with him for many years.

IN/Visible Rattan Bottle Workshop

Rattan weaving is one of the occupational-therapy activities that people in custody undertook in Victoria Prison. This workshop, hosted by local artist Loching Lam in collaboration with the Correctional Services Department (CSD), offers participants a chance to create a rattan bottle of their own – and in the process, gain insight into CSD’s work in recovery and rehabilitation.
