01.12.18 Musician’s Biography:

Nazarii Tabachyshyn & Rebecca Li

Nazarii Tabachyshyn is an accordionist. Born in Ternpoli, Ukraine, Nazar has been playing accordion since he was just 5 years old. Graduate of Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, he has won numerous international music competitions in Italy, Czech Republic, Lithuania. Estonia, Poland and Ukraine. Nazar plays a different repertoire from classical to pop.

Rebecca Li was born in Hong Kong. She began playing the piano at the age of four and cello at the age of twelve. Graduated from Conservatoire de Bordeaux and Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Rebecca performs actively in different musical scenes in Hong Kong. She has worked with many artists such as Andrea Boccelli, Il Divo, Koji Tamaki, Coco Lee, Sammi Cheng etc.

 

Euterpe Quartet & Patrick Yim

The Euterpe Quartet (Enoch Ho, violin; Ken Cheung, violin; Derek Sung, viola; and Bernard Ng, cello) was formed at the Music Department of the Hong Kong Baptist University in 2017. In the summer of 2018, the Quartet represented HKBU at the HKBU School of Business reception at the Academy of Management in Chicago. They have participated in the Northern Lights Chamber Music Institute in Minnesota.

Honolulu-born violinist Patrick Yim is a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician, and orchestral violinist who performs around the world. He joined The Cleveland Orchestra on tours to America and Europe and performs chamber music with members of the Juilliard, Emerson, Pacifica, Ying, and St. Lawrence Quartets, and with members of The Cleveland Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic. He is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music (BM, MM) and Stony Brook University (DMA). He is an Assistant Professor at HKBU.

 

Mr. Brass

Debuted in Dec 2017, Mr. Brass is a brass quintet founded by five professional “MR.”s based in Hong Kong. Bringing unique and excellent brass music to audiences is their goal. The quintet is committed to bringing brass music playing to the next aesthetic level through professionalism and utmost passion. At the same time, they give school concert, masterclass, seminar and music lesson with a vision to nurture the next generation brass musicians.
