You are welcome to join one of the many tours we offer, designed for different visitor backgrounds and needs. We hope to expand the possibilities for dialogue between art and the public. 

School Tours: From 28 May 2024 onwards, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2:30 pm or 4:30 pm

Weekend Public Tours: Cantonese or Putonghua Sessions: 2pm-3pm, English Sessions: 4pm-5pm

Private After Hours Tour: Monday 5pm -5:45pm and 6pm - 6:45pm

Private Tour during Opening Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm

Remarks

  • There are no public parking spaces in Tai Kwun.
  • All participants must abide by the visitor policies and guidelines. Food, drinks, umbrellas, tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed into the galleries. Participants can bring handbags or backpacks into the galleries, which must be carried in front of the body when visiting.

School Tours

Tai Kwun Contemporary offers a series of teacher activities and free school tours for the exhibitions. By exploring the current exhibitions, meeting up with curators, and taking part in artist workshops and discussions about art education, we hope to build a platform for the sharing and exchange of knowledge about contemporary art knowledge, thus developing together effective pedagogical practices in contemporary art.   

Teacher Programmes and School Tours 

Date and time: From 28 May 2024 onwards, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2:30pm or 4:30pm  

Duration: 45 min 

Fee: The School Tour is free of charge. Please join the school tours with Bruce Nauman exhibition tickets that are valid for the day. For ticket purchase details, please refer to the KLOOK ticketing website or inquire at the on-site ticket office 

Capacity: Maximum of 20 people per guided tour 

Language: Each guided tour is conducted in Cantonese or English 

Application Details:

- Applicants must submit their applications at least 10 working days in advance before the desired visiting date. 

- Successful applicants will receive a confirmation email within 10 working days after applying. Please present the email when visiting. 

- Once the date and time of the school tour has been confirmed, if further changes are required in terms of date/time or number of visitors, please email learnart@taikwun.hk together with the following information. 

      - The applicant’s name and contact number 

      - School tour date, number of people, and selected tour language 

Terms and Conditions

1. By application for and/or participation in the Bruce Nauman Exhibition Tours, you are deemed to have read and agreed with these terms and conditions.

2. Application for Bruce Nauman Exhibition Tours must be made 10 working days in advance before the proposed date of visit.

3. Successful booking confirmation will be sent to the persons in charge by email within 10 working days upon receiving the application. Please present the email for admission and guided tour registration on the date of visit.

4. To protect the privacy of docents and other participants, unauthorised photography, video and audio recording are not encouraged during the tours.

5. Places are limited and on first-come-first-served basis.

6. Tai Kwun reserves the right to make final decision of the arrangement.

7.  According to the Bye-laws, all persons who enter Tai Kwun will be deemed to have granted its approval to Tai Kwun undertaking the following activities without making any payment or notification to any such persons:

a. taking photographs, making a video or cinematograph recording and/or using any sound or image recording equipment at any place within Tai Kwun; and

b. reproducing the image and/or voice of any person who enters Tai Kwun and using the same for any purposes as Tai Kwun shall think fit.

Adverse Weather Special Arrangement

1. The activities will be cancelled if the Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is hoisted or the Black Rainstorm Signal is issued within 3 hours before the activities begin. For instance, if the Typhoon Signal No.8 is still hoisted at 7:00am, the activities arranged in the morning session at 10:00am will be cancelled.

2. If the visit is cancelled due to inclement weather, Tai Kwun will subject to its practicability reschedule the visit to another date and time.

Join our art professionals and educators for a unique guided tour of the upcoming exhibition Bruce Nauman at Tai Kwun Contemporary. Discover the works of Bruce Nauman through our guest tour guides' eyes as they share insights into their fields of specialty. 

Date: 25 MAY - 18 AUG, 2024 Saturdays and Sundays

Cantonese or Putonghua Sessions: 2pm-3pm 

English Sessions: 4pm-5pm 

Please join the guided tour with Bruce Nauman exhibition tickets valid for the day. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Private After Hours Tour

Experience a Private After Hours Tour led by Tai Kwun Contemporary senior curator or curator of the exhibition Bruce Nauman, so that you can appreciate the works up close. You will get to interact with the artworks together with the curators during the gallery's closed hours.

• HK$35,000 (led by a senior curator; includes exhibition admission fees)

Led by a senior curator, curator or educator, visitors will be able to further explore the exhibition Bruce Nauman. Through explanations and interactions, visitors will gain unique insights into behind-the-scene aspects to the exhibition, such as the artists’ creative processes, techniques and sources of inspiration.

Organisation Information
Special Arrangement of Rehabus Drop-Off

Parking spaces are unavailable at Tai Kwun. If a Rehabus is arranged as transportation to Tai Kwun, a drop-off point will be arranged at the Loading Bay. Rehabus Drop-Off Arrangement applications will be considered based on operational feasibility.

Please provide Rehabus Vehicle Number at least 1 week prior to the confirmed visit date. For arrangements, please email brucenaumantour@taikwun.hk.
